I reported a few months ago that the grandfathers of stoner comedy were not only on speaking terms, but were actually getting along famously after giving interviews to promote the 30th anniversary of Up in Smoke. After years of being estranged, a 2003 reunion movie, Cheech and Chong Get Blunt, was waylaid when Tommy Chong was arrested for selling Chong Bongs on the internet (for much more info on that fiasco, click here).

Well, here's the new buzz: Richard "Cheech" Marin and Thomas Chong will give a press conference tomorrow at West Hollywood's Troubadour, the very place where the comedy duo debuted back in 1972, to announce their Hey, What's That Smell? tour -- their first live comedy tour in more than 25 years.

Here's hoping this new joint venture will get things rolling again on Get Blunt.
